Cal Queer and Asian is dedicated to providing a safe support space to discuss different queer and Asian topics in our community and to hold social events such as clubbing trips, banquets, movie nights, and storytime. Our meetings are casual and relaxed, and we invite students to come in at anytime and bring a friend if they like.
Respect and confidentiality are two things that Cal Q&A commits to whenever we meet. For many of our members, this could be the first time that something about their past or present is revealed in a social setting, or sensitive stories and experiences can arise, and we strive to make sure that our members feel comfortable and safe in participating with Cal Q&A.
Cal Q&A is not limited to just those who are Queer or Asian, but our goal is to provide a safe social space to those who identify as both. We welcome students of ALL types of backgrounds and focus on maintaining confidentiality for those who are not out. We hold weekly discussions and socials on Wednesdays in the QRC at 7:30. | |
